How Repetition Builds Faith and Reprograms Your Mind for Wealth – Think and Grow Rich Insight

“Repetition of affirmation of orders to your subconscious mind is the only known method of voluntary development of the emotion of faith.” Page 41 “Think and Grow Rich.”

This is the act of saying or thinking something again and again. Consistency is the key. These are positive, intentional commands you're giving to your subconscious. For example: “I will earn $100,000 by December 31st, 2025.” The subconscious mind controls behavior, intuition, and belief, and it's influenced through emotionally charged repetition.

“Only known method of voluntary development of faith:” This is powerful. Hill says you don’t need to be born with faith. You can create it deliberately, through this process. If you don’t yet believe in your goal, start repeating it with emotion. Eventually, your subconscious accepts it as truth, and you begin to act in alignment with it.

Each of Hill’s 6 steps is built to repeat a clear, emotionally charged message to your subconscious mind. That’s exactly what this quote is describing: training your belief system through repetition.

Step 1: Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire.

This gives your subconscious a clear, specific goal to focus on.

Step 2: Determine exactly what you will give in return.

This builds emotional involvement. You’re not just wishing, you’re committing.

Step 3: Establish a definite date.

A deadline adds urgency and intensity which are both emotional triggers.

Step 4: Create a definite plan, and begin at once.

Taking action boosts confidence and starts building belief through experience.

Step 5: Write a clear, concise statement of your goal.

This becomes your affirmation, the command you’ll give to your subconscious.

Step 6: Read your statement aloud twice daily “With faith, and emotion.”
This is the repetition Hill says is the “only known method” for developing belief. By repeating your goal with emotion, every morning and night, you are reprogramming your subconscious mind to believe it’s already yours.

If you don’t do this, your subconscious mind remains full of old beliefs, doubts, fears, or negative expectations, none of which support your goal. But if you feed it new instructions with repetition and belief, it begins to accept them and then your behavior, decisions, and mindset shift to align with those instructions.
